Nokia “Tube”, the first touch screen phone from Nokia is going to be unveiled soon. It is being speculated that Nokia will be unveiling the device in an event in London on October 2, 2008. Touch Screen phones have become a lot more popular since the launch of Apple iPhone or HTC Touch Diamond. A lot of companies like Samsung, LG have rolled out popular touch screen handsets. So Nokia is all set to enter the race and the “Tube” is being touted as a serious competitor to iPhone.
The phone is a S60 series phone and will have a 640 X 360 touch screen.Other features like GPS and WiFi will also be there. It is also expected to have 3G capabilities and a 3.2 megapixel camera along with Bluetooth 2.0 and microSD support. And the big thing is, its price may be less than that of the current touch screen phones. If that turns out to be the case, the phone will become very popular in countries like India where touch screen phones are quite expensive.
Currently no details is known about the pricing or its release is known but i think it will make its debut in the European and American markets.
