After being released in US and European markets, RIM’s Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220 has found its way to India thanks to Bharti Airtel. This is the first model from RIM to come with a Flip design and it looks a lot different from the traditional business phones design. It offers lots of business and multimedia features in a fashionable design.
The smart-phone has two displays, a QVGA 2.4 inch 65k internal display and a 128 X 160 pixel external display. As compared to the other Pearl models, this one has got a bigger QWERTY keyboard thus providing a better texting experience. The phone has a 2MP camera with digital zoom and video recording. An advanced media player is there for music and full screen video playback. The phone has access for upto 10 email accounts and has also got quick access to social networking sites. The Enhanced HTML browser makes browsing a much more pleasant experience. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, Document Reader, Blackberry Maps and Sync application, and support for upto 16GB microSD card.
The phone is priced at Rs 21,990 and is available at Airtel authorized channels.
