At the ongoing MWC 2009, Nokia has officially announced two new members to their E-series range, the E75 and the E55. Both the devices are the first to ship with company’s new email user interface and they both come with Nokia messaging for corporate email communication.
The enhanced email user interface includes folder and HTML email support, expandable views and sorting capability by date, sender and size. All the most common functions are just a single click away. They also offer improved Calendar capability along with contacts and task management. Both devices also have Nokia Maps and assisted GPS along with NGage gaming. The E75 which looks similar to the E71 has a 2.4-inch TFT LCD screen with 240 x 320 pixel and 16 million color resolution. It also includes a slideout full QWERTY keypad along with standard alphanumeric keypad. Other features include a 3.2 MP auto focus camera, connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, EDGE, Bluetooth and USB 2.0. It also include FM radio and comes with 3.5mm earphone socket.
The E55 looks like a grown up version of E51 and comes with similar features except the keypad. It also includes a a 2.4-inch TFT LCD screen having 16 million color resolution. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi, EDGE, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, FM Radio support along with 3.5mm earphone socket is also provided. It also has a 3.2 MP camera along with microSD card support.
The E75 is expected to ship in March at a price of Rs 23,477 (375 EUR) while the E55 will be available at the second quarter for a price of Rs 16,590 (265 EUR).
