Nokia has unveiled the highly anticipated Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in India. It is the first ever “Touch Screen” mobile phone from Nokia and will provide a good competition to the Apple iPhone. Along with this, Nokia also announced the launch of there ‘beta’ music store. Nokia has also tied up with a lot of recording labels to provide all types of music to its customers.
The phone has a 3.2 MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens along with LED Flash and video recording facilities. The phone can play audio and video files in multiple formats. It has “Media Bar”, a drop down menu which provides direct access to music and entertainment along with direct link to web and online sharing. Music lovers have a lot to look forward to as the phone comes with a 8GB card and has an internal memory of 128MB. It has surround sound speakers, graphics equalizer and a 3.5mm jack.
The phone offers a lot of input methods including a QWERTY keyboard and an alpha numeric virtual keypad and it comes with pen stylus and plectrum. It has a host of features including Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, WLAN, 3G, GPRS, HSDPA, handwriting recognition software, FM Radio and TV out support. It has a 3.2 inch screen which supports 640 X 360 pixels.
The phone has a lot of features if you compare it with the iPhone. It will be available here at the beginning of January 2009 for a price of around Rs 19,999 21,839. The price is also not bad if you look at all the features it provides.
